We’re starting off with a bang with my most favorite product of the three. If you hate having to deal with the fussiness that often comes with liquid eyeshadows – the fast dry-down, the difficult blend – you gotta get your hands on one of these Eye Jewels. They are so, so easy to work with and boy, are they pigmented. I’d even go as far to say that this is the best liquid eyeshadow formula I’ve tried, at least in recent memory. It’s definitely better than the ILIA Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint, which dries down way too fast in my opinion, and even the Kosas 10 Second Eyeshadow, which is just slightly more fussy in application. I apply a thin layer of the Eye Jewels directly from the doe-foot applicator all over my (unprimed) lid and gently blend upwards and outwards with a dense, synthetic brush. The applicator does hold a lot of product – way too much product in fact – so make sure you clean it off before applying. But otherwise, this is a breeze. No skipping or patchiness here, and it builds very well on itself without getting too stiff or hard to work with. You also get a decent amount of playtime before it sets and both the color and the metallic finish stay vibrant throughout the entire day. I’ve also noticed very little creasing, if any at all. For reference, I usually wear my makeup for about 9 to 11 hours.

I was gifted the shade Rose Gold. It’s beautiful and perfect for everyday wear, but the formula comes in 4 very neutral shades.

CHEEK ENVY BLUSH

You know I’m mainly a cream blush kinda girl, but I have found myself reaching for this powder-textured Cheek Envy Blush again and again. I think it’s a combination of both the ease of application and the lush color.

I take a medium-sized fluffy brush, dip it once or twice into the powder, tap off the excess (very important), and just apply to my cheeks in light and gentle circular motions. You don’t need a lot of product here at all – this formula is very pigmented and the press on the powder isn’t particularly hard – so it’s definitely best to work slowly and build up to your desired level of color. The lasting power is great here too; on my dry skin I can get around 7-8 hours of solid wear before it starts to fade.

I was gifted the shade English Rose, which is a soft, neutral take on pinky rose with a subtle satin finish. It’s absolutely perfect for my fair skin. If you have deeper skin it may get lost on you, but they also offer some more bright and punchy shades in the line. This product doubles up for me as both an eyeshadow and a blush; it’s GORGEOUS as an eyeshadow! I’ve done several monochromatic looks and really, really enjoyed the finished result.

LUMINARY GLOW POWDER HIGHLIGHTER

We’re rounding things off with a look at my least favorite, or least reached-for product, the Luminary Glow Powder Highlighter. This really comes down to personal preference; it has nothing to do with the quality of the product. I’m just not into powder highlighters for the most part. I’m always going to prefer something creamier in texture and more pearly in sheen.

Now, that being said, this is still a lovely highlighter. It’s not dry, flakey or crumbly on the skin; it applies and blends very smoothly, and lasts all day, even longer than the Cheek Envy Blush. It comes in one shade, Majestic, which is golden and slightly peachy in tone. Again, not really my preference; on my skin tone I usually go for something more icy and less golden and warm. But if you love your powder highlighter compacts (did I mention this also comes with a handy mirror?), and you want to support a small business, this is a great option.
